Lord Hakkin is a Kyralian city magician. He is a detractor of the Circle of Friends, and an important man in Kyralian politics. He is friends with King Errik. Hakkin tends to be arrogant and stubborn; he is also ignorant of the geography of all Kyralia but the closest areas to Imardin.
|Spoilers from "The Magician's Apprentice"|
Hakkin had openly mocked the Circle of Friends during one of the gatherings King Errik held at the Royal Palace. Dakon mentioned that Hakkin only made a few comments, but whenever he made them, they were always the sharpest.
Finally, Hakkin joined the kyralian army, at the same time as Magician Genfel, Lord Tarrakin, Lord Moran and Lord Olleran. Dakon was surprised of his arrival, as Hakkin didn't approve the Circle of Friends.
When Lord Sudin and his apprentice, Aken, sent a desperate help request, Hakkin admitted that he had encouraged Sudin to look for the sachakans alone. Hakkin also volunteered to look for the magician and his apprentice, in case they were still alive and needing assistance. What the group found were the corpses of the two men, their pieces scattered around, possibly after the sachakans tortured them.
