Tyve is a Siyee, he lives in the North River Tribe. He is Reet's brother. They live in a bower with their mother.

Spoilers from "Last of the Wilds"

Reet and Tyve found the cave in which Mirar was living (the void cave). Mirar, under the alias of Wilar taught them about the gods. They were fascinated by Mirar's stories. They kept coming and as they learned that he was a healer, they asked for cures; as they were needed on the Tribe. In return, they gave Mirar food and water. As the medicines Mirar sent to the Tribe were not sufficient to treat all the people there. Reet and Tyve asked Mirar if he could go to the Tribe and check the people. He agreed and went to the Tribe. In the meantime, Tyve developed a system of ropes for Mirar to get to the bowers faster. Tyve volunteered as Mirar's assistant for carrying messages and bringing needed cures and water. Due to Tyve's constant exposure to Hearteater, he caught the disease himself. Reet offered himself as assistant, but he caught the disease soon after. They both survived the epidemic.

Tyve became a messenger after Wilar left. He was the one who reported a mysterious woman's disease in the cave to Auraya.
